This is my daily green juice. I switch up my greens seasonally, or to fit what's on sale, but these are the usual suspects. You would not believe how easy it is to consume fruit and veggies through juicing! I mean, who can really eat enough greens and fruits a day to get your recommended servings? This delivers you immediate liquid benefits of all these wonderful nutrient dense foods. I even got my carnivore of a father to start drinking this juice! I promise, I'm no health nut, but this is good stuff! If not for health, then for beauty, and I'll cheers to that.

Ingredients

1/4 bunch of kale
1/2 bunch spinach
2 stalks celery
1 green apple
1 grapefruit
1/2'' piece of ginger

Wash all fruits and vegetables. Trim the ends if they're a little tatty.  When using citrus I cut the fruit in quarters and cut the wedges of fruit out to juice. This helps leave the white pith behind, which can be bitter. After all fruits and vegetables are prepped, run it through your juicer or blender. You can pile all these vegetables into your blender with some water to get things going, and put it on the liquify setting. After it's as smooth as possible, you can strain it through a fine mesh sieve. If you have a vitamix or belndtec you can probably just skip straining and drink it, those blenders really pulverize this stuff.

Tips:

To maximize the benefits of any juice, try to consume it on an empty stomach. This means 2 hours after you eat or 20 minutes before you eat.
Try to make and consume the juice immediately. Obviously this is not always possible for the average working person. If you must store your juice, only do so for 24hrs max. The nutrients start to deplete the longer they're exposed to air. To store, mason jars are great. Just fill to the brim allowing no air gap and seal. Keep as cool as possible as heat also kills nutrients.

*Switch up your greens, your body needs variety, I switch up kale, spinach, dandelion greens, arugula, mustard greens and many more. Get creative and find what tastes work for you.

This juice is incredibly nutrient dense and helps with digestion, metabolism and circulation. Nothing is a miracle juice, but adding this to your healthy lifestyle will for sure boost your energy levels and immune system. I've actually swapped this for coffee in the morning, the energy boost is amazing from this juice. I also notice my hair is much stronger from all the iron.
