Tell us a bit about yourself/background
I'm a graduate of the University of Benin where I studied Fine and Applied Art and majored in painting. I pursued my unending quest to research on new mediums and make aesthetic representations on a two-dimensional surface, which included the use of various hues of sand, sawdust in its raw state, wool, coloured leather, raw charcoal and pieces of fabrics to mention but a few. My projects have been commissioned and patronized by art lovers and enthusiasts around the world. In recent times, I have found new love which is the use of pen to make hatches and cross hatches to make portraits and expressions of various themes inspired by feelings and the immediate environment.
What triggered your interest in art?
My love for creativity as an artist from my childhood days
How was the reaction/feedback from those around you (family/friends)?
I gained unending encouragement and support from family, contemporaries, friends and well-wishers.
What inspires your art?
Inspiration comes solely from God's creatures, undaunted love for African culture and its diversity.
What are the most challenging projects you've executed so far?
My university project titled "Scent of Beauty" - size "8 by 6 feet" exploring leather and raw charcoal in painting media. The project demanded a lot of time, creative prowess, technical ability and a lot of funding.
I hope to contribute immensely to the awareness and advancements of the art around the world via social media and many other reachable platforms.
