My name is Stephen Oluwamayowa Ojo
Tell us a bit about yourself/background
I am just an extraordinary being who is always finding favor
from God. I am the third born in a family of 6 people. I am bestowed with a lot
of God given talents and I plan to figure out all of them so I can exploit them
very well. I am a dancer, model, athlete, musician, host and many other things
that I have yet to find out. I am currently a junior at the City College of New
York studying political science.
When did you start doing this?
I started modeling shortly after my older brother passed
away because that was something that he loved to do and always encouraged me to
get into it. Back then I didn't take it seriously but after he passed away, I
made a promise to him to continue doing the things he saw me excelling in.
How was the reaction/feedback from those around you (family/friends)?
The reaction that I got doing this has definitely been
positive from all my family and friend especially because I landed a big
freelancing gig with Nike this past summer. I plan on building on that and
hopefully get signed to an agency soon.
What inspires your art?
My brother and the zeal of success are the inspiration of my
art.
Who would you like to work with /who inspires you/ which artist do you
admire?
I don’t really have anyone in mind that I would want to work
with, but I’m open to working with anyone who is willing to work with me.
Future Plans?
My future plans is to obviously get signed to an agency and
them from there, help others reach that level.
What advice do you have for anybody out there who wants to be an artist
like you?
My advice to the people out there is don’t give up just yet,
there is a light at the end of tunnel, you just have to keep working and push
through the adversities and impediment. There is no greater story than a story
that has shown the world that you have been through it and have overcome all
odds.
